3p Logistics Ship Azimuth Thruster from Finland to Canada
17th May 2024
The Industrial Projects department of 3p Logistics is pleased to share a successful shipment they completed from Finland to Canada.
On a sunny day in Finland, the company delivered an azimuth thruster and its parts to the Port of Rauma using lowbed trucks.
After loading aboard an interesting vessel - the Atlantic Kestrel - the cargo was shipped from Rauma to Canada.
3PL Project Manager Ilya Goncharov offered his thoughts:
"Life is good and easy when you have a ship like this!"
3p Logistics took care of a variety of operations, including:
- Cargo handling
- Customs clearance
- Acquiring permits & escorts
- Road transport in Rauma
- Loading onto the vessel
- Securing of the cargo by special chains
The chains were required to meet the minimum fastening forces for this load.
This shipment was completed for a leading provider of offshore supply and port & coastal marine services, operating in the North Atlantic, South Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific Coastal regions, as well as the North Sea.
